Role OverviewThe Assistant Property Manager is a leader who maintains computer reports and resident files, prepares and signs leasing agreements, and manages the office in the absence of the Community Manager. This is an on-site role that requires a high school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for implementing marketing plans, greeting customers, and showing apartment homes to customers. The role requires strong leadership abilities, tact, and maturity. The Assistant Property Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and updating current and past resident files, preparing eviction notices, and running and reviewing credit reports and rental applications.
What You Will Do
The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as implementing marketing plans, greeting customers, showing apartment homes, taking rental applications, and conducting credit checks. The role also involves preparing and signing leasing agreements, passing out fliers to promote the community, and cross-marketing to other communities within TCC. The Assistant Property Manager will also be responsible for taking ownership of resident problems or concerns, following through with resolution, and maintaining and updating current and past resident files.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
- Reading, writing, seeing, hearing, and/or communication; and mathematical skills
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Must have a valid in-state Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Retail, sales, or customer service experience
- Management or leadership abilities
- Tactful, mature, flexible and cooperative
- Ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion
- Collections experience helpful
- Fair Housing and legal knowledge
- Interpersonal and appropriate telephone skills
- Computer and typing skills
