Role OverviewAssistant Prosecuting Attorneys (APAs) represent the State of Ohio in criminal matters and practice before the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, and Eighth District Court of Appeals. This is a rotating criminal division position that starts in the Juvenile Unit, then rotates to the General Felony Unit, and then allows for promotion to criminal division specialty units.
What You Will Do
Prepare charging instruments, make contact with victims, witnesses, and police officers for trial preparation, participate in pretrial conferences, respond to defense motions, engage in pretrial motion practice, participate in bindover hearings, suppression hearings, and other types of hearings, prepare and litigate the State's case before a judge or jury, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements
