Role Overview

The Assistant Public Defender will provide effective and professional representation of individuals charged with misdemeanors and criminal traffic offenses. They will zealously advocate for each client through critical analysis of cases, motion practice, and jury trials. The Assistant Public Defender will also prepare each case efficiently and effectively utilizing office and community resources.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Assistant Public Defender will include managing a high-volume caseload, maintaining adequate levels of communication and attention to individual clients, advising and counseling clients, and utilizing innovative, holistic defense strategies to achieve the best outcome for clients.
