Role Overview

The Assistant Research Professor will support and conduct basic and applied research in fluid mechanics, investigating complex single and multi-phase flows, cavitating flows, marine vehicles, turbomachinery, and renewable energy production. The role will involve contributing to the design, assembly, and operation of complex test articles and experiments, working as part of a team to acquire, analyze, and evaluate test data, and authoring/co-authoring reports, presentations, and papers.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Research Professor will be responsible for managing projects of small or moderate size and scope in experimental aerodynamics or fluid dynamics, developing and maintaining external research relationships, and collaborating with other engineers, researchers, and academic faculty.
