Assistant Site Manager

Gray Construction is looking to add an Assistant Site Manager to their Field Operations Team. This is a field/project-based position. The Assistant Site Manager will function as the overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager and assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval.

What You Will Do

Assist in the development and management of project schedule, prepare estimates in areas of self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate. Responsible for multiple divisions of work, all aspects of the means and method of construction, and soliciting prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• a minimum of three years of construction experience OR a minimum five years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree
• Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired - specifically within the food and beverage market
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
• Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents
• Strong people management skills
• Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones
• MS project and other scheduling software a plus
• Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development
• Must posses the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given
