Job Description
Become part of Park Hyatt Aviara, a AAA Five-Diamond luxury resort in San Diego, as an Assistant Sous Chef for Ember & Rye. The role involves understanding kitchen operations, producing quality products, and assuming department responsibilities. Requirements include culinary education, cost control, communication, and leadership skills, as well as computer skills. The position offers a competitive benefit package and a starting wage of $27.00 per hour.
Requirements
Basic understanding of a kitchen operation within the hotel
Producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner
Assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef
Previous experiences in a luxury resort preferred
Must possess a professional presentation
Outstanding guest services skills, sophisticated verbal & written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
