Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead the efficient coordination and execution of workflow throughout the warehouse, with a focus on safety, sanitation, cost controls, productivity, accuracy, team environment, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have warehouse supervision and operations experience, preferably in a food or temperature-controlled environment, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Lead the efficient coordination and execution of workflow
  • Build good working relationships with staff
  • Maximize warehouse activities to meet financial goals
  • Ensure warehouse sanitation, safety, and security activities are performed in accordance with regulations
  • Provide continuous improvement of labor efficiency
  • Manage incidents, injuries, and near-misses
  • Act as a point of escalation for various matters
  • Provide hands-on leadership training and development
  • Oversee inventory control functions and procedures
  • Maximize utilization of warehouse support computer system applications and tools
  • Troubleshoot issues in the warehouse
  • Approve timecards, assist with setting schedules, and approve time off requests
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members
  • Participate in the hiring process of new warehouse employees
  • Perform any additional tasks delegated by the Superintendent, Operations Manager, and/or General Manager
