Role Overview

The Assistant Vice President, IT Cloud Center of Excellence provides strategic and technical leadership for the organization’s cloud computing strategy, emerging technology adoption, and enterprise innovation initiatives.

What You Will Do

Define, deliver, and support the enterprise cloud strategy and roadmap, lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures, and research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • AI certification or related required
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect required
  • Microsoft Azure certification required
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience with a focus on cloud and emerging technologies, with management exposure required
  • Strong hands-on experience architecting and operating workloads on one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP Architect) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud migration, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD automation
  • Working knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent automation, with experience operationalizing them
  • Familiar with encryption strategies and protocols for data at rest and in transit, and with cloud security and governance frameworks
  • Prior experience working in a highly sensitive environment housing ePHI and bound to HIPAA and HITECH regulations
  • Experience with cloud cost management/FinOps and vendor management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
