Role Overview

Reporting to the Head Women’s Gymnastics Coach, the Assistant Coach assists in developing a Division I competitive Women’s Gymnastics program. The primary function of the Assistant Coach is to teach student-athletes the sport of Women’s Gymnastics.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Coach works primarily with beam and floor exercise, evaluates and recruits qualified student-athletes, and supports the Head Coach in creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating, and controlling aspects related to recruiting, practices, competitions, and related booster clubs.

The Assistant Women’s Gymnastics Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner representative of the University, the Department, and the sport, both on and off the field of competition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • at least two years of previous gymnastics experience as a collegiate coach, level ten (“10”) or elite level club coach, and/or collegiate student-athlete
  • Experience administering Division I NCAA rules
