Role OverviewThe Assistant Youth & Teen Coordinator will work with a flexible weekly program that offers a supervised teen center and a variety of activities for youth ages 13 to 18. The ideal candidate will monitor the program participants and staff in both the Ticonderoga Teen Center and the Silver Bay Summer Camp. This role will report to the Youth & Teen Coordinator.
What You Will Do
The Assistant Youth & Teen Coordinator will lead and take part in physical, social, and educational activities offered to participants at the Teen Center and Silver Camp. They will also assist the Youth & Teen Coordinator with parent/guardian communications, maintain accurate attendance lists, and oversee opening and closing procedures.

Requirements
- Previous experience in implementing fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate programs for youth and teens
- Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers, children, volunteers, and parents who represent a diverse community
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to enforce rules in a professional and positive manner
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or willingness to be certified
- Child Abuse Prevention and other Y training within 14 days of hire
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic MS computer skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
