Job Description
The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking an Assistive Technology Specialist to join the South Texas Mgmt Unit 6-6 Department. The successful candidate will oversee and review case management services for the assessment, purchase, and delivery of assistive technology services to customers in coordination with Administrative and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Supervisors, and under the direction of the VR Manager.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in human services, social science, business, or a related field
  • Three years and six months of full-time qualifying experience in social and rehabilitative services work, teaching and counseling persons with disabilities, social services, medical eligibility, or entitlement programs
  • Twelve semester hours of graduate study from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each year of the required qualifying experience
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 10 pounds of work related materials
