Role OverviewAECOM is seeking an Associate Analyst (Project/Cost Controls Engineer) to support a major public-sector capital improvement program in California. This position will provide project controls, cost management, scheduling, and reporting support across a regional portfolio of complex capital projects. Working closely with Senior Project Managers and program leadership, the Project Controls Analyst will help maintain accurate and timely project information, monitor financial and schedule performance, and support portfolio-level reporting and decision-making.
What You Will Do
Maintain and analyze project cost, schedule, and performance data across an assigned portfolio of capital projects. Prepare, update, and distribute monthly project status reports, executive summaries, dashboards, and other portfolio-level reporting.

Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, Architecture, or a related field
- six (6) years of relevant experience in construction project controls, capital program analysis, cost management, scheduling, or a related field
- advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, formulas, pivot tables, and large data sets
- experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software
- experience developing project dashboards, portfolio reports, executive-level reporting, or performance metrics
