Role OverviewThe Department of Family Medicine at Care New England seeks an accomplished researcher to serve as Associate Chair of Research. The role will lead the research division, develop research strategy, mentor faculty and trainees, oversee the Clinical Trials Unit, and maintain an active externally funded research program.
What You Will Do
Major responsibilities include research leadership and administration, mentorship, faculty development, and grant writing. The role will also involve maintaining an active, externally funded research program in Family Medicine-relevant areas, publishing in major peer-reviewed original research journals, and presenting at national Family Medicine conferences.

Requirements
- MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited institution
- Family Medicine residency, ABFM board certification, RI license (or eligibility)
- Eligible for Brown University faculty appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank
- Demonstrated track record of federally funded research in Family Medicine or related health services research
- Minimum 5 years conducting independent research with sustained external funding
- Proven experience mentoring junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in research
- Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with research administration and program leadership
