Job Description
The Associate Division Chief of Academic Affairs, Pulmonary Division, coaches individuals to develop, maintain and execute their strategic career plan and goals in education and research.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) from an accredited school with a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology from an accredited program (Required)
  • 5 years academic appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level (Required)
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the conduct of scientific research
  • Ability to supervise, advice, and train clinical professionals and/or students in basic, translational or clinical research
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards in the conduct of scientific research
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to Quality of Care and remains current on the developments and progress in his/her subspecialty
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with legal and ethical standards for the conduct of scientific research
  • Previous experience managing program(s) in an academic setting
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonologist Upon Hire (Required)
  • Physician Unrestricted medical license in the District of Columbia and credentialed by the staff of Children's Medical Center Upon Hire (Required)
