Role OverviewThe Associate Commissioner for External Affairs will be responsible for making sure the office and senior leadership work together to execute the Commissioner's, Deputy Mayor's, and Mayor's initiatives and policy objectives. The Associate Commissioner will facilitate improved communication, coordination, and collaboration within the team, among other teams at the agency, and with external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
The Associate Commissioner will develop and execute robust external affairs and communications strategies for the agency, manage public relations activities, and ensure the Commissioner is prepared for meetings and public appearances.

Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- Four years of experience in community organization, social work, urban development projects, real estate, public administration, or a related field
- Two years of experience in a field directly related to neighborhood improvement such as housing, community organization, urban renewal, or planning
