Role OverviewThe Associate, Corporate Counsel will provide legal support for Vestas' onshore wind energy business across the United States and Canada. The team partners closely with Sales, Project Management, Construction, Procurement, Finance, Tax, and Insurance functions to support the sale of wind turbines for onshore wind projects. The team is responsible for negotiating and managing complex commercial transactions, advising on legal and commercial risk, developing contracting standards and processes, and enabling business growth while protecting Vestas' interests.
What You Will Do
The Associate, Corporate Counsel will draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements, including confidentiality agreements, supply agreements, service agreements, procurement agreements, amendments, and financing documents. They will also provide practical, business-oriented legal support to internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and commercial matters.

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 2-5 years of legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, government agency, or combination thereof
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word
