Job Description
Role Overview

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $3B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead. At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.

What You Will Do

Support day-to-day operation of the AWS and Kubernetes platform — monitoring reliability and performance, flagging issues before they become incidents for 50 person global consulting team. Build & Maintain GitOps deployments: sync policies, deployment ordering, configuration management. Support CI/CD pipelines: maintain GitLab pipelines and runners, help engineering teams troubleshoot failed builds and deployments.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role needs solid technical fundamentals, but just as important is a customer-service mindset: you'll be supporting internal engineering teams directly, so how you communicate, troubleshoot with empathy, and show up when something's broken matters as much as the fix itself.

Requirements

  • 1+ years hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, including runner management and Bash scripting for deployment tasks
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices (ArgoCD or similar)
  • Exposure to Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset — you're supporting people, not just infrastructure
  • Comfortable being accountable to other engineers who are blocked and waiting on you

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance
  • Flexible PTO and company paid holidays
  • Retirement programs
  • 1% charitable giving program
