Associate Director, Medical Outcomes Science Liaison (Northeast)

The Health System Medical Outcomes Science Liaison (HS MOSL) serves as Alnylam's primary medical liaison within integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic health systems, and organized healthcare entities. The HS MOSL engages formulary decision makers, C-suite healthcare leaders, clinical pharmacists, and broader clinical leaders who influence formulary and access decisions. The role involves building peer-level relationships, conducting balanced scientific exchange, and collecting and sharing evidence gaps and insights to inform Alnylam's Value, Evidence, and Strategy (VESt) Team.

The key responsibilities include engaging and building relationships with formulary decision makers, conducting scientific exchange, developing account-specific strategic plans, collecting and sharing evidence gaps and insights, and engaging health system stakeholders in evidence-based scientific and outcomes-focused dialogue.

Requirements

• Advanced degree - MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant life science discipline
• 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience in pharmaceutical or biotech
• Prior field-based experience working directly with health systems or IDNs
• Experience with federal health systems (VA, DoD)
• Demonstrated understanding of pharmacoeconomic and health outcomes research principles
• Solid working knowledge of US healthcare ecosystems, IDN structure, and formulary decision-making processes
• Strong therapeutic area knowledge; rare disease experience preferred
• Solid working knowledge of regulatory and compliance environment including PhRMA, OIG, and FDA guidelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 75%
• Valid driver's license required
