Role Overview

The Associate Director of Alumni and Constituent Engagement is responsible for managing and implementing programs and projects at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine's Alumni's Affairs department that are valued by alumni, former residents, and friends. The role involves building enduring and mutually beneficial relationships, inspiring loyalty and financial support, strengthening the institution's reputation, and involving alumni and friends in meaningful activities to benefit students and advance the Temple University mission.

What You Will Do

The Associate Director will work collaboratively with members of the Katz Institutional Advancement team and Lewis Katz School of Medicine departments to define, develop, implement, and maintain strategic engagement initiatives and programs. This includes designing and implementing all facets of strategic alumni engagement activities, broadening the scope and increasing the quality and diversity of programs, services, benefits, and activities for alumni and former residents, and supporting high-quality engagement, volunteer, networking, and professional development activities and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in alumni relations, event planning, communications, and marketing, volunteer management, or fundraising, preferably in higher education or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, CRM databases, Adobe CS, and social media, digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools
  • Ability to work proactively, creatively, analytically, and strategically
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
