Associate Director of Housing

The Associate Director of Housing is a fully onsite, client-facing role that requires in-person interaction and direct service delivery to participants at Episcopal Community Services (ECS) program locations. The role involves planning, organizing, and administering ECS's Housing Services, ensuring housing retention, helping residents meet their health and social needs, and achieving their highest level of self-sufficiency. The Associate Director will foster innovative thinking, best practices, cooperation, collaboration, and service integration among Housing Services staff and partners.

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities of the Associate Director of Housing include developing and managing effective public and private partnerships for housing, social services, health services, and money management. The role also involves maintaining efficient client data and reporting systems, facilitating effective service delivery, and providing direct supervision to support services managers, clinical services managers, food services coordinators, and administrative assistants.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive experience in human services administration
• Experience in supportive housing and/or service delivery for homeless and other very low-income families and individuals
• Masters degree in social work, nonprofit administration, or related human services field preferred
• Strong working knowledge of the physical and behavioral health needs of ECS's client population
• Knowledge of and commitment to harm reduction practices
• Working knowledge of housing and homeless services funding sources, both public and private
• Commitment to ECS's mission and organizational values
• Ability to maintain focus on organizational vision while attending to necessary and appropriate details
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
