Associate Fraud Investigator Team Leader

The Associate Fraud Investigator Team Leader will supervise Family Workers and Community Coordinators, review eligibility determinations, and play a dual role in diversion assessments and fraud prevention. The team leader will assist the Associate Fraud Investigator, Level II, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, and supervise a team of subordinate staff in the intake, shelter placement, investigations, and eligibility determination process.

What You Will Do

The team leader will utilize various tools to handle applicant interviews, complete investigations, and assess and verify information and documents relevant to the investigation. They will evaluate child welfare, domestic violence, medical, and other issues for further action and investigation, and prepare case summaries and written determinations in connection with applications for Temporary Housing Assistance (THA).

Requirements

• Four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent
• Five years of satisfactory, full-time experience in investigations, evaluating credit histories, searching for assets, and/or researching evidence
• One year of supervisory or administrative experience
• Associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college, including 12 semester credits in criminal justice, forensic science, police science, criminology, or law
• Three years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described above, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described above, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity
