Role Overview

The Associate General Counsel will provide litigation and general legal support to the Deputy and General Counsel, researching and interpreting laws, statutes, rules, and regulations. The role involves responding to legal inquiries, assisting with administrative proceedings, and consulting with internal and external partners on legal and policy matters. The Associate General Counsel will serve as the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) Officer and handle other matters in the General Counsel's Office.

The main day-to-day responsibilities will include providing litigation and general legal support, researching and interpreting laws, responding to legal inquiries, assisting with administrative proceedings, and consulting with internal and external partners.

  • Prior experience in Immigration law is preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus
