Job Description
RETS Associates seeks a CMBS/Commercial Real Estate Analyst to join its CMBS/CRE investment team in Los Angeles, CA. The role offers meaningful exposure to a broad range of CRE debt investments and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, fast-paced institutional platform.

Requirements

  • Underwrite CRE debt investments across senior mortgage, mezzanine, and preferred equity
  • Screen, size, and price new opportunities, evaluating borrower business plans, leasing, capex, and market fundamentals
  • Prepare investment memoranda and present underwriting conclusions, risks, and mitigants
  • Lead due diligence, including third-party reports, lease and financial reviews, and borrower and market diligence
  • Support transaction execution through closing
  • Assist with asset management, including monitoring performance, covenants, and re-underwriting as needed
  • Support capital markets activities tied to participations, warehouse facilities, and securitizations
