Job Description
This associate producer role for Dateline Audio focuses on producing podcasts including "Dateline True Crime Weekly" and "Talking Dateline." The AP will monitor breaking crime news, schedule guests and talent, and assist with editing, research, and publishing. The position is short-term, expected to last less than 24 months, with a potential for full-time commitment.

Requirements

  • Monitor breaking crime news and gather elements for coverage
  • Schedule guests and talent for remote interviews
  • Research and tape segments for various Dateline podcasts
  • Factcheck podcast episodes
  • Assist in laying up edits in Descript and Pro Tools
  • Organize metadata, compile transcripts, and submit cue sheets
  • Take the lead on publishing episodes
  • Coordinate shipping and return of audio equipment
  • Hybrid work: minimum three days per week
