Associate Project Accountant

Support the accounting team by combining core accounting responsibilities with project-level financial administration. Help drive accurate financial reporting by monitoring job-specific metrics, including revenue recognition, costs incurred to date, and margin recognition. Play a key role in the job setup process by ensuring accurate data entry and job build information.

What You Will Do

Maintain accurate job cost records for active projects to support reliable job costing and timely updates throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with customer billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliable revenue recognition. Support the creation, modification, review, and closure of purchase orders related to project and accounts payable functions.

Requirements

• Two-year associates or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Payroll or related field from an accredited college
• Three (3) years of directly related experience
• Experience with construction ERP systems (such as Vista) and project/job costing
• High degree of personal integrity, strong professional judgment, and positivity
• High level of organization, including managing physical paper and electronic files effectively
• Attention to detail and strong sense of urgency in completing tasks
• Demonstrated strong technology and computer skills required
• Construction or related industry knowledge and experience preferred
• Organizational abilities to track multiple deadlines and reporting requirements
• Ability to suggest and implement process improvements
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and have good public relations skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
