Job Description
Bank Street is looking for a passionate, team-oriented Associate Teacher to work with a Head Teacher to act as the homeroom teacher for a class of students and teach a number of subjects including math, reading, writing, and social studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience teaching 3 - 10 year-old children preferred
  • Preference to be enrolled as a graduate student at Bank Street College for the 2026 - 2027 school year
  • Experience with Google Suite, and adept at use of technology to support teaching and learning
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administration
  • A commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
  • Being committed to addressing issues of social justice, diversity, equity, and anti-bias education in our curriculum and in our community

Benefits

  • Paid annual salary range: $45,300 - $47,700
  • Ten-month position with standard hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays, and until 5:00 PM on Wednesdays for a weekly afternoon faculty meeting
