Role OverviewThe Associate to Senior Auditor will assist in administering Americo's governance, risk, and compliance initiatives through execution of the annual audit plan. This will encompass building relationships, gathering data, reducing risk, and validating compliance with laws and regulations.
What You Will Do
Perform financial, operational, and compliance audits, examine and evaluate internal controls, prepare reports, and conduct enterprise and department risk assessments.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant accounting/audit experience, knowledge of auditing concepts and practices, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting/audit experience
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures relating to auditing of operations, compliance, accounting, and financial data
- Insurance industry as well as regulatory knowledge
- Risk Management & Governance concepts, practices, and procedures including internal controls
- Understanding of Accounting principles
- Well organized, detail oriented, efficient, and able to work independently and think critically
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Highly proficient user of database/spreadsheet and desktop processing applications
- Ability to set achievable and realistic goals as well as able to work around unforeseen obstacles and circumstances
- Ability to select and focus on the most important issues and balance multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
