Job Description
Indian River State College is seeking a visionary Assistant Vice President of Technology to lead enterprise-wide technology strategy and drive innovation that advances student success.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior management role within higher education or a comparable environment
  • Proven ability in strategic technology planning, governance, and execution aligned with institutional goals
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, data privacy regulations (FERPA, HIPAA, ADA), and compliance standards
  • Expertise in enterprise systems, cloud technologies, and infrastructure management
  • Familiarity with academic technologies, online learning platforms, and student information systems
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, including the capacity to guide diverse teams, cultivate collaboration, and establish a high-performance culture
  • Proficiency in budget development, resource allocation, and vendor negotiations
  • Dedication to equity, inclusion, and student success within technology initiatives
  • Demonstrated aptitude for driving innovation while maintaining operational stability
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage faculty, staff, students, and external partners
  • Ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical audiences
  • Experience representing the institution in professional organizations and consortia
