Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection seeks an experienced Associate Water Use Inspector to advance to the position of Associate Water Use Inspector Level II. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Chief Inspector, overseeing water use inspection programs, preparing training programs, and enforcing departmental rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Three years of satisfactory full-time mechanical experience in plumbing or in water use inspection, one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above
  • Ability to climb ladders, pits, confined spaces, lift heavy items, stand for prolonged times, and work in all weather conditions
