Job Description
The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is seeking a Public Health Consultant to support statewide asthma initiatives. The consultant will work with healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and public health partners to develop and implement programs, provide technical assistance, and evaluate health outcomes.

Requirements

  • Coordinate and support statewide asthma program initiatives, partnerships, and community engagement activities.
  • Provide technical assistance, education, and consultation to healthcare professionals, schools, and community organizations.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, trainings, education materials, and outreach resources related to asthma management and prevention.
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating public health programs and populations-based initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance and analyze data to support reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve asthma-related health outcomes across Ohio communities.
  • Support communication and outreach efforts through newsletters, reports, surveys, and public education campaigns.
  • Assist with grant management activities, including application reviews, budget monitoring, contract coordination, and funding recommendations.
  • Research public health trends, policies, and best practices to support program development and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in conferences, trainings, and workgroups as assigned.
