Role OverviewThe Athletic Trainer is a member of the Sports Medicine outreach team, responsible for evaluations, treatment, rehabilitation, and medical referral to a consultant. They work with athletes and individuals associated with athletic programs.
What You Will Do
Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment, develop training programs, and accurately evaluate and assess injuries. Carry out prescribed treatments and communicate with parents, coaches, and other stakeholders.

Requirements
- A degree in Athletic Training from an institution accredited by CAATE
- NATA Certified
- Louisiana licensure
- 1-2 years in athletic training setting preferred
- CPR certified
- Current Louisiana Athletic Trainer license
- Annual CEU requirement
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate orally and in written form
- Emotional stability and maturity
- Adaptability to change, decisiveness, and foresight
- Organizational and leadership ability
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
