Job Description
Southwest Power Pool is looking for an Atlassian Applications Analyst to work with teams across the organization to understand their needs and help them get more value from tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. The role involves designing a better workflow, creating a clear and usable space for shared knowledge, and enabling better visibility through dashboards, reporting, and automation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Information Technology-related field or equivalent job-related experience
10 years of applicable experience in Information Technology Development and/or Support related roles or a combination of technical experience and leadership experience (Lead)
6 years of applicable Information Technology application administration and support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience or a combination of technical experience and leadership experience (Senior)
3 years’ experience of Information Technology Development/Support experience (Level II)
Proven experience administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket required)
Expert troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
Expert written and oral communication skills
Expert working knowledge of SDLC and project life cycle methods and practices
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures
Expertise in scripting, SQL, deciphering error and event logs, data analysis
Preferred: 2 or more years applicable utility industry experience
Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python, with the ability to read, understand, and modify existing scripts
Data visualization experience with Tableau or Power BI
Comprehensive understanding of SPP’s core business model
