Job Description
The Department of Social Services' Office of Legal Affairs is seeking an Attorney II to provide legal guidance and representation in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. The selected candidate will work in the Adult Protective Services Litigation and Program Counseling Unit (APS/LPCU) and will provide legal assistance, draft legal memoranda, and represent the Commissioner in court proceedings.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar
  • Six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne
  • Must remain a Member of the New York State Bar in good standing
