Role OverviewThe Attorney III – Technology Transactions will provide high-level, thoughtful, and strategic legal advice and counseling on technology matters. The role involves working with technology transactions, drafting and revising agreements, and providing legal counsel to internal departments. The successful candidate will have experience with technology transactions and a willingness to learn and understand related ALSAC legal needs.
What You Will Do
The Attorney III – Technology Transactions will identify legal issues, work with internal departments to find solutions, and represent ALSAC in dealings with other attorneys, vendors, entities, government officials, donors, and third parties. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work with a variety of individuals, and the ability to find solutions to legal issues and challenges.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience working with regulatory agencies and/or oversight bodies and/or in-house for a large organization. They will be able to interpret relevant regulations and contractual provisions and/or litigation and contract experience would be preferred. The candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to handle complex legal assignments independently, and the ability to communicate results to non-lawyers in a pro-active and customer-friendly way.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- licensed to practice law in TN
- 5-7 years of experience in a legal environment or related experience
- ability to handle highly technical legal matters independently
- strong critical thinking skills
- ability to handle complex legal assignments independently
- ability to communicate results to non-lawyers in a pro-active and customer-friendly way
