Role Overview

As an Audit Staff at Cherry Bekaert, you will work on a wide variety of audit engagements under the supervision of different accounting professionals. You will engage and serve clients from various industries, communicate with project in-charges and clients, and develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements. You will also prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries, gain business writing experience, and prepare and organize workpapers for client files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel
  • Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles
