Job Description
Authorization and Benefit Clerk responsible for verifying payers, obtaining authorization, charting, phone calls, and patient scheduling, as well as maintaining office space and communicating with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience with insurance verification/authorization
  • Prior scheduling experience
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Scheduling program(s)
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to carry out directions, read, and write
  • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
  • Basic medical terminology
