Authorization Specialists will monitor authorizations, document progress, and communicate with physicians, patients, and coworkers to ensure accurate and timely authorizations. They will also work with the department manager to respond to complaints and maintain confidentiality of health records.

Requirements

  • Effective organization and billing requirements and authorization process
  • Medical terminology
  • Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft/ Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and procedures
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
