Role OverviewWork as an Automotive and Equipment Mechanic in the Fleet Services Department on Long Island, New York, for a world-class organization and leader in the utilities and energy industry.
What You Will Do
Perform diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles, including cars, trucks, construction equipment, and auxiliary components, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to diagnose and correct all vehicle systems, including diesel, fuel injection, electronic ignition, power hydraulic systems, and electronic engine controls, and have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED plus automotive vocational training or equivalent
- Minimum of five years experience as a maintenance technician, ASE certified is a plus
- Ability to diagnose and correct all vehicle systems
- Commercial driver's license
- Tank, hazardous material, and tow truck endorsement within 180 days
- Physical ability to work areas above, below, in and around vehicles and safely operate associated machinery and tools
