Job Description
The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is seeking an Auto Mechanic to maintain and repair engines, motors, and equipment. The job involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment, as well as supervising staff and preparing reports.

Requirements

  • Five years of full-time satisfactory experience as an auto mechanic
  • Not less than two and one-half years of full-time satisfactory experience as an auto mechanic plus sufficient helper or apprentice experience or relevant full-time education
  • New York State Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) or a Motor Vehicle Driver License valid in the State of New York
