Role Overview

The Automation and Controls Manager will be a key member of the Technical Services organization, providing technical expertise in designing automation specifications and applying them to the automation strategy in the Norton Shores Michigan plant. They will lead implementation support for company process controls applications, process data collection, dashboards, and reporting systems.

What You Will Do

Develop, plan, and implement information and operations technology systems, including network infrastructure, controls, and automation systems. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the automation team.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechatronic, CS)
  • 7 - 10 years of experience working in automation, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods space
  • Advanced knowledge of PLC system design/programming specifically focused on Allen Bradley
  • Advanced knowledge of HMI systems focused on Rockwell Factory Talk View ME/SE and Ignition
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial process historians
  • Advanced knowledge of Ethernet networks
  • Advanced electrical control design capabilities
  • Ability to connect to and interact with OPC interfaces
  • Ability to produce electrical diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
