Role Overview

As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform a wide variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, and are responsible for completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of an Automotive Mechanic include inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a wide variety of automotive services, completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be a fit for this role, you must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities of an Automotive Mechanic, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and performing repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. You must also be able to lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance
  • possess an extensive tool box of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs
