Role OverviewThe Automotive Mechanic is responsible for inspection, repair, and diagnostic services. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement.
What You Will Do
Perform work specified repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or OEM standards. Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Requirements
- Current driver's license; clean driving record
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays; work overtime when required
- Arrive to work on-time
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills required
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
