Job Description
The AV Specialist is a technical lead in A/V technologies, responsible for the administration, support, monitoring and troubleshooting of the Firm's Audio Visual, telecommunications and networking infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Design, implement, and maintain audio-visual systems across the organization.
  • Work closely with other members of the network engineering team to ensure that all audio-visual systems are integrated with the network infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for all audio-visual systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to audio-visual systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to audio-visual systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in audio-visual systems.
  • Support and Maintain Network Infrastructure
  • Maintaining procedural and system standards to optimize the firm’s A/V technology.
  • Recommend, test and evaluate new hardware, software and upgrades as directed by management.
  • Responsible for Tier 3 support of A/V Infrastructure and services for ~1,900 users in 18 or more geographic locations.
  • Acts as technical contact for vendors regarding the Firm A/V systems and applications.
  • General understanding of the Firm’s software application systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of pertinent A/V infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with attorneys, clients and staff in person, by e‐mail and telephone.
  • A demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve complex problems involving hardware, software and end users.
  • A proven ability to work within a team and build consensus among peers.
  • Work occasionally requires ability to deal with high stress, tight time constraints, and very demanding users/clients.
  • Work frequently requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Work frequently requires weekend and evening commitment – problem solving, scheduled and unscheduled outages, upgrades and enhancements as deemed necessary and appropriate.
