Role OverviewPGAL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Aviation Engineering Design Manager to support existing aviation projects, pursue new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of our aviation engineering group. This seller-doer role entails building and managing a high-performing team, collaborating closely with our established architectural aviation group on nationwide projects, and driving new business opportunities across both landside and airside sectors.
What You Will Do
Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including contract management, team leadership, quality assurance, and financial performance. Support design needs and mentor a team to ensure the successful delivery of projects that include the design of taxiways, taxilanes, aprons, roadways, stormwater, and utility infrastructure.

10+ years of experience in aviation civil engineering design and project management. Strong knowledge of and experience in the application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in aviation civil engineering design and project management
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required in TX, CA, or VA
- Strong knowledge of and experience in the application of FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction
- Aviplan, AutoCAD, and Civil3D experience and/or working knowledge of design software
- Excellent communication, management, and organizational abilities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
