Role Overview

The Aviation Safety Compliance Specialist manages the technical and administrative activities of a comprehensive safety program and compliance for the City of Dallas Airport. This includes coordinating safety staff, identifying procedures to ensure compliance, and designing safety initiatives to mitigate occupational injuries.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include assisting personnel in resolving health and safety problems, training and educating personnel in using protective equipment, and evaluating and reviewing scientific and statistical data to prepare reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety, Emergency Management, Engineering, Construction Safety, Industrial Safety, or any related science or technical field
  • Three (3) years of experience in Safety (Occupational Health, System Safety, Industrial Safety, Risk Assessment and/or Loss Prevention) OR Airport/Airfield Operations or Management
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 & 800 certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year of appointment
  • Must be able to pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check
