Job Description
StandardAero Houston is seeking an Avionics Technician to perform servicing, inspecting, and installing electrical and electronic components on aircraft, including instruments, sensors, and other systems. This role involves ensuring avionics components meet industry standards and regulations. The company specializes in commercial jet maintenance and overhauls within the Houston, IAH (Houston International Airport) office.

Requirements

  • Troubleshoot and repair Flight Management Systems, Satcom and Airborne Radio Telephone Systems, RVSM, ADSB, EGPWS/TAWS, communications, navigation, radar, TCAS/XPDR, DME, autopilot/flight director, audio, ADF, Cabin Management/In-flight Entertainment (IFE), and other sophisticated avionics/electronics systems.
  • Perform system checks, fault isolation, and component-level replacement or repair under guidance.
  • Install, align, and wire electrical and electronic components, perform terminal splicing, and complete other electrical bench work.
  • Conduct continuity checks and assist in the functional check-out of complete aircraft systems.
  • Adhere to shop standards, manufacturers’ standards, federal and military standards, including FAA Advisory Circulars.
