Role OverviewThe Finance and Investments Counsel is responsible for supporting the company's investment, finance, and capital management initiatives. This position reports directly to the Group Chief Legal Officer. The role involves managing legal documentation, interpreting laws and regulations, and providing legal support for various finance and investment activities.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documentation, negotiating with counterparties, monitoring regulatory developments, and providing ad-hoc support for regulatory filings and correspondence.

Requirements
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Member of the Bar in good standing of any US jurisdiction
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience with a focus on investments, asset management, and/or state insurance matters
- Prior experience within insurance or reinsurance, specifically life insurance highly preferred
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to various types of styles and processes
- Knowledge of statutory accounting for life companies preferred but not required
