Role OverviewPeraton is seeking a full-time background investigator to work near Albuquerque, NM. The investigator will be responsible for conducting background investigations, performing record searches, and typing reports. The role requires working independently and as part of a team, with a Field Manager.
What You Will Do
The investigator will conduct face-to-face interviews, perform record searches, and type reports on a government-issued computer system. Daily travel is required, and temporary duty assignments may be necessary.

Requirements
- 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree
- Experience conducting federal background investigations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Accurate and efficient typing capabilities (40+ WPM)
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and over the phone
- Proficient grammar and writing skills
- Ability to interact professionally with others
- Maintain high level of confidentiality ethics and integrity
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, and endure long periods of standing
