Role OverviewPeraton is seeking a full-time background investigator near Bowling Green, KY. The investigator will be responsible for conducting background investigations, traveling daily, and reporting findings in a clear and concise report. The investigator will work independently as part of a team and with a Field Manager.
What You Will Do
The investigator will conduct face-to-face interviews, perform record searches, and type and report all obtained information. They will also travel daily for in-person background investigations and work with a team of investigators and a Field Manager.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree, with experience conducting federal background investigations preferred. They must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance and reside within 50 miles of Bowling Green.
Requirements
- 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Daily travel required locally and outside of primary work area as needed
- Valid driver's license and full time usage of reliable transportation
- Accurate and efficient typing capabilities (40+ WPM recommended)
- Ability to speak for extended periods of time and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and over the phone
- Proficient grammar and writing skills in order to submit high quality reports with minimal or no errors
- Ability to interact professionally with others
- Maintain high level of confidentiality ethics and integrity
- Professional attire required
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, endure long periods of standing and drive in adverse and/or night conditions
