Role OverviewPeraton is seeking a full-time background investigator near Las Vegas, NV. The investigator will be responsible for conducting background investigations, traveling daily, and performing record searches. The investigator will work independently while also being a member of a team of investigators and a field manager.
What You Will Do
The investigator will be responsible for the following tasks: conducting in-person background investigations, scheduling and conducting face-to-face interviews, performing record searches, typing and reporting information, and working independently as a member of a team.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree, with experience conducting federal background investigations preferred. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance and reside within 25 miles of the city center of Las Vegas.
Requirements
- 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree
- Experience conducting federal background investigations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Daily travel required locally and outside of primary work area as needed
- Home office required
- Temporary Duty Assignments (TDY)/remote travel ranging from 14 – 30 days away from home per TDY may be required
- Valid driver's license and full time usage of reliable transportation
- Accurate and efficient typing capabilities (40+ WPM recommended)
- Ability to speak for extended periods of time and hear sufficiently to communicate in person and over the phone
- Proficient grammar and writing skills
- Ability to interact professionally with others
- Maintain high level of confidentiality ethics and integrity
- Professional attire required
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, endure long periods of standing and drive in adverse and/or night conditions
